Meret Steybe is a security policy researcher at the Center for Security Studies (CSS) at ETH Zurich, where she works on German and European security policy, institutional impact assessment, and strategic planning. Previously, Meret served as a policy advisor for the Bundestag's Study Commission on "Lessons from Afghanistan for Germany's Comprehensive International Engagement in the Future," where she developed cross-party positions and coordinated strategic negotiations. She has deep expertise in translating complex security challenges into actionable policy recommendations. Meret holds a bachelor's degree in European Studies with a minor in European and International Law, and a master's degree in European Public Affairs, both from Maastricht University.
