Laura Íñigo Álvarez is an Assistant Professor of International Law and CEDIS Chair in Human Rights, Justice & Security at NOVA School of Law. She co-coordinates the Master’s in Law and Security and serves as Co-coordinator of the NOVA War and Law Lab.
Her research focuses on international human rights law, international humanitarian law, armed non-state actors, international criminal law, and business and human rights. Since October 2025, she leads the Erasmus+ CBHE project ‘Corporate Respect for Human Rights in Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas’ (CAHRA) and serves on the Management Committee of the COST Action NetSec (‘Networking European Security Knowledge’) representing Portugal.
