Giulia Biselli is a Ph.D. candidate in Defence and Security Studies at the School ofAdvanced Defense Studies (CASD) and the University of Turin. She is also a Research Fellow at Geopolitica.info, where she conducts analyses on China, the Indo-Pacific, and international security. Her research focuses on economic security, the geopolitics of critical supply chains, and strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific, with particular attention to China's foreign and economic policies and their implications for European security. Her doctoral research examines how states leverage economic, infrastructural, and institutional instruments to generate long-term strategic influence below the threshold of armed conflict. Alongside her academic work, Giulia is the founder and director of a Switzerland-based consultancy specializing in human rights, responsible supply chains, and social sustainability. She has extensive expertise in human rights investigations and due diligence across global supply chains, advising organizations on social and geopolitical risks. She also delivers training on business and human rights, women's rights, DEI, and the protection of vulnerable and minority groups. This professional experience provides a practical dimension to her academic research, offering first-hand insight into the governance challenges, strategic vulnerabilities, and resilience of critical supply chains.
