Céline Rodrigues is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Portucalense and Invited Assistant Professor at Universidade da Beira Interior. She holds a PhD in International Relations, Specialisation in Globalisation and Environment at Nova University Lisbon, Portugal, demonstrating the rapprochement of the North Atlantic and Arctic developing scenarios to confirm the importance of the Arctic for Portugal. She also has research on human security of Arctic Indigenous, ocean governance, maritime security. She participates at international conferences, publishes articles and policy briefs. She is invited for lectures/open classes. Céline participated in the RPT 1 (The Role of the Arctic in the Global Earth System) co-leading the research theme 5 at ICARP/IASC and spent three months in the Arctic at the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland, Rovaniemi, Finland, and is an Associate Researcher at many national and international research centres/think tanks. Céline is also an Arctic and Governance policy Advisor at Global Choices. She is the co-founder of Latin Polar Science, co-organising annually the Latin Polar Science Workshop.
