Avnihan Kirisik is a Research Assistant in the Department of International Relations at Mersin University and a PhD candidate in International Relations at Ankara University. His research interests lie at the intersection of International Relations theory, Foreign Policy Analysis, and security studies. His doctoral research focuses on ontological security and epistemic communities, examining the relationship between expert knowledge, identity narratives, and foreign policy change. His broader research interests include securitization, security practices, constructivist approaches to foreign policy, and the production and circulation of security knowledge. He is also conducting research on the material and spatial dimensions of security.
