I am a security researcher and EU border security practitioner with a PhD in Critical Infrastructure Protection from the University of West Attica. My background combines academic research with operational experience in border management, law enforcement cooperation, surveillance, reporting and security procedures in international environments. My academic work focuses on critical infrastructure protection, cyber-physical threats, security risk assessment, malicious drones, illicit goods detection and dangerous goods transport risks. I also hold an MSc in Environmental, Disasters and Crises Management Strategies, with previous work on EU Host Nation Support Policy. Since 2021, I have coordinated R&D work on security-related topics, including drones, illicit goods, dangerous goods/ADR transport and critical infrastructure protection, and have contributed to research and innovation proposal activities. My publications address applied security challenges at the interface of technology, risk assessment and operational protection. My interests include European security, border security, critical infrastructure resilience, emerging technologies, civil-military coordination, crisis management and the link between academic research and operational practice. I participate in this community in a personal academic and professional capacity, and not as an official representative of any employer or institution.
